The first time, beginning Astro Deep Sky Photographers will start with Deep Sky Objects like M42 (Orion Nebula), M45 (Pleiades) or M31 (Andromeda Nebula). The beauty of these Deep Sky Objects is that they are - depending on your Bortle Class location - visible with the naked eye and therefore are easy to find in the night sky.

But what if you want to shoot Deep Sky Objects like IC410 (Tadpoles), IC415 (Flaming Star Nebula), NGC 2237 (Rosette Nebula), NGC 2264 (Christmas-tree Cluster), NGC 1499 (California Nebula), NGC 6992 (Veil Nebula) or NGC 598 (Triangulum Nebula), Sh2-155 (Cave Nebula) to name a few, then these Deep Sky Objects are much more difficult to find.  When you want to find these Deep Sky Objects, Star Hopping in the night sky is your solution. Star Hopping is a great way to learn the Night Sky.  Once you have found your Deep Sky Object in the Night Sky, you need to point your camera to this position and at this point it will start to become challenging to put your camera into the correct position.  There will be a lot of trial and error to find the right location. Especially, when the focal lengths are getting longer. The longer the focal length the more difficult it will be to find your Deep Sky Objects, especially when they are in zenith position (pointing up your camera/telescope/lens vertically).

When you are not able to find your Deep Sky target, frustration will become your biggest enemy (spending hours on finding and framing up your target are not seldom) and many may stop their Astro Photography journey before they even have started, although they still dream of the wonderful Night Sky Objects.

When you are not in the financial position of acquiring a GoTo Mount or you want to stay flexible and mobile, but still want to shoot Deep Sky Objects, you will find major value in using the Deep Sky Fast.

With Deep Sky Fast you will find your desired Deep Sky Objects fast. No more spending hours of valuable time - in which you should be capturing data - finding and framing up your Deep Sky Objects.  With Deep Sky Fast you need only a few minutes to find your targets region. Deep Sky Fast is a manual process and the more precise you work the more accurate your result will be.

To give you an example - when you follow the instructions (Supplied with your purchase) - you will be able to find and frame up the Rosette Nebula in about 3 -5 minutes after you have Polar Aligned your Star Tracker. In this example we are using the William Optics RedCat 51 Refractor with a Micro Four Thirds camera sensor. This set up has a focal length of 500mm (Crop factor 2 x 250mm). This still is wide field, but finding your target with this focal length is already challenging.

Deep Sky Fast is a set of tools in which you will be able to position your mobile tracking mount within minutes to your desired Deep Sky Object. Deep Sky Fast makes use of the technology available for Astro Photography, which will allow you to be accurate and fast. Deep Sky Fast also allows you to frame up quickly another target from any particular location in the Night Sky. This makes Deep Sky Fast extremely versatile and a great companion for Astro Deep Sky Photographers.

Deep Sky FAST contains:

  • A special 3 D printed Deep Sky Fast Astro clip to mount on the declination bracket

  • Two (2) Deep Sky Fast Astro Discs to control the Night Sky Coordinates of your desired Deep Sky Object.

To use the Deep Sky FAST you need a few technology gadgets which are available in the Stores (Both Apple and Google). We are sure that many of you are already using some Astro Photography apps to make your life easier in learning the Night Sky.

The secret of Deep Sky FAST lies in the combination of using the Astro Discs and the Astro Apps.
